Painted in oil on paper and laid down on canvas in 1868, the artist is Charles Edward Perugini, apprentice to Lord Leighton. The title of the painting is "I know a maiden fair to see, take care".

The painting illustrates an old German poem translated by Wadsworth Longfellow. It goes like this:

Barley's Weizenbock

Style Guidelines: This very strong wheat ale is malty and somewhat fruity. Spicy and floral saaz and Hallertau hops keep this beer from being a malt monster while wheat and Victory malts contribute freshly toasted character. 

Rotation Schedule: Usually every autumn.

Food Pairings: Grilled sausage with peppers and onions or sauerkraut. Tru it with our apple pie or with our foot-long "Junkyard " Dawg" special on Thursdays.
