American wheat: An American Wheat is the American craft brewers’ spin on German wheat beer (hefewiezen.) This style takes the Hefeweizen recipe and replaces the distinctive yeast with much cleaner fermenting ale yeasts. This creates a very subtle brew making it a great transition beer for many new good beer drinkers. It's also a great beer for the intense heat of summer. It goes down easy, and you can have quite a few. In fact, the lazy, hazy straw color of our wheat ale could have been inspired by Nat King Cole's "Those Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer."
